Turning off…
Friday, June 8th, 2007…the daily Twitter Tools digest. They’re boring even me. Stay tuned to the sidebar, though.

Just installed twitter updater
Friday, March 16th, 2007Giving Victoria Chan’s Twitter Updater WP plugin a whirl. I’m not sure, yet, whether I like the idea or not.

twitter API needs work
Tuesday, March 13th, 2007I really do things other than think about twitter, really. But…
I’m working on a little script to automatically post tweets to my LiveJournal account. Yeah, I know, I know. But I never claimed to be cool or have much self respect. I also have a significant group of friends who LJ and nothing else. I […]
Safari + twitter badge = frustration
Monday, March 12th, 2007Is anyone else have trouble with twitter badges and Safari? The one here always seems to say “undefined” in Safari, but it’s fine in firefox.

EngaTiki project going offline
Sunday, March 11th, 2007After almost two years, I’m taking the EngaTiki project offline. it was a nice idea, but it never caught on, except among spammers, and I don’t have the energy to put into a project nobody else is interested in.
It’s a wrench, but it’s time.

Updates
Sunday, March 11th, 2007Finally updated to 2.1.2. since I’d never updated to 2.1.1, there wasn’t any danger, but still.
While i was going, I updated the look, too, to Rockin Minimal. there is probably something I hate more than customizing Wordpress sidebars, but right now I can’t think what it is.

Twittering
Monday, March 5th, 2007C.K.’s post reminded me about twitter, and I’ve been playing with it today. Kind of fun, although among my friends’ list, anyway, it’s not really fulfiling it’s original purpose. I don’t see anyone really using it to meet up or post stalker bait.
It reminds me, though, of what attracted me to blogs and social networks […]
New Again

Time mismanagement
Saturday, August 26th, 2006As promised, a “what has Jay been up to?” update. Where to begin…
A couple of months ago, I took a new job doing Instructional Technology at MUU*. I couldn’t be happier. I’m back firmly on the instructional side of of the U. The faculty I deal with on a daily basis are distressingly behind the […]
Web Two-Point-Oh-No!
Friday, August 18th, 2006Vacation is a good time to think, and I’ve been thinking a lot about my relationship to blogging: why I do it (when I do), why I don’t (when I don’t), and how I can make it a better personal fit and a viable pursuit for the long term and reinvigorate my online presence generally. […]
Happy Birthday to…all of us!
Monday, August 7th, 2006As Ryan over at 27B/6 reminds us, it’s the World Wide Web’s birthday! 15 years ago yesterday Tim Berners-Lee posted a message to the alt.hypertext newsgroup announcing CERN’s W3 project and offering “a prototype hypertext editor for the NeXT, and a browser for line mode terminals which runs on almost anything” to anyone who was […]
To set David’s mind at ease
Tuesday, August 1st, 2006And everyone else who’s inquired. I’m still alive. I hadn’t realized quite how long it had been since I updated this space until I went to log in today and couldn’t remember the password. To my own blog.
It’s not that I haven’t felt like blogging, but with a new job, a move, and the rest […]
RSS common icon proposal
Thursday, March 16th, 2006Been participating in this thread over at The Shifted Librarian. The gist: the RSS Advisory Board is considering a proposal that would add official support for the common feed icon to the official RSS spec, and additionally actively encourge everyone who publishes a feed to use the icon regardless of what type of feed (RSS, […]
Tiddling around
Thursday, February 9th, 2006I’ve been playing around a little lately with TiddlyWiki to manage things like todo lists and project planning. I know lots of people who have been playing around with it, and I was prepared to love it, especilly given it’s vaguely dirty-sounding name, and on the surface, it’s a great idea: self-contained document management that […]
